Meet Alyson

Alyson Ryan grew up in New England in Worcester County, Massachusetts.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University in 2013, and her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2016.  Alyson earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 2020.

During law school, Alyson served as Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal.  She also worked at the New Haven Superior Court, providing aid to individuals who were seeking a divorce or restraining order but could not afford an attorney.

After law school, Alyson relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska and has practiced here ever since.  She practices primarily in family law, but also has experience in corporate law, estate planning, and trademark law.  She is able to carry over her accounting and tax background to her practice of divorce and family law.  Alyson is passionate about advocating for her clients and ensuring their voices are heard.  Her skills include negotiating, property characterization and valuation, income determination, and an in-depth knowledge of the law.

Alyson is an experienced mediator having received her training through the Nebraska Mediation Association, a Nebraska Supreme Court-approved training provider. She works with parties to amicably settle their disputes outside of court, saving individuals both time and money.

Alyson serves as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Nebraska Bar Association.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and flying back to the east coast to visit family and friends.  She likes trying out new fitness classes and is an avid reader and book club member.  Alyson also enjoys volunteering her time with local law school students, judging mock trial and moot court competitions.
