Chris Pomerleau was born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, graduating with athletic and academic honors as a first team all-state football player. Chris played college football and graduated as a routine member of the Dean’s list at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
While attending law school at Creighton University School of Law, Chris concurrently obtained a Masters in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at Creighton’s Werner Institute, while graduating law school with the Severens-Mayer Award for Excellence in Mediation and best mediator at the Creighton University School of Law for the year 2010.
After law school, Chris served as a logistics officer in the United States Army, ranking as number one overall Lieutenant for his 968 Soldier Battalion.
Chris has practiced exclusively family law and handled hundreds of cases throughout both the states of Iowa and Nebraska. He is an experienced litigator and a determined advocate for all of his clients. Chris’ empathy and tenacity ensures each of his clients that they are put in the best possible position for one of the most difficult situations in their lives.
Chris is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Chris was recognized in 2015, 2016, and 2019 as a “Great Plains Rising Star” in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers. He was also named one of the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys’ Top 10 Under 40 Attorneys for the state of Nebraska for 2016.
Chris previously practiced as an attorney at a nation-wide, family law firm and earned Rookie of the Year and Top Two Overall Attorney accolades.
