Serving the Community
I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I practice family law and specialize in cases where one of the parties has an immigration concern or international law issue. I especially love working with LGBTQ+ clients, immigrants/asylum seekers, and those who have experienced domestic (inter-partner) violence. I represent clients in domestic proceedings and also help couples mediate divorces and custody agreements.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2015 with a degree in Psychology and graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2019. At the University of Nebraska School of Law, I earned a specialization in litigation and focused on family law, immigration law, and international asylum law.
I completed in the NITA Trial Academy in 2023. In 2022, I was the sole author of a feature article in the July 2022 edition of The Nebraska Lawyer, “Representation Without Boundaries: The Intersection of Family Law and Immigration Law.” I also gave a CLE seminar regarding the Intersection of Family Law and Immigration Law. I have been a guest speaker for the American Immigration Lawyers Association 2022 Nebraska/Iowa Conference, the University of Nebraska College of Law, the Nebraska Public Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Bellevue University Camino Latino Center, the Nebraska Hispanic Latino Youth Summit, Partnership 4 Kids, and the Creighton University School of Law.
I try to give back to the greater Omaha community through volunteering with the Omaha Community Foundation, where she reviews grant applications for the Futuro Latino Fund. I also volunteer with the Legal Aid of Nebraska, the Volunteer Lawyers Project, and the Pesek Law Spanish Speaking Free Legal Clinic. I have participated in legal clinics with the NAACP, WCA, Heart Ministry Center, Habitat for Humanity, Catholic Charities, and Lutheran Family Services. I am on the board of the Nebraska State Bar Family Law and Women in the Law sections. I am an active member of the Nebraska Bar and an inactive member of the Missouri Bar.
